What an amazingly fun group of gals tonight @sweetheartwinery! This was the last fresh cut flower workshop of the year and it reminded us why fall is pretty much the prettiest. (Until winter...) Also it was great having members of the local @redhatsociety chapter!

This whole broken foot thing hasn’t been my favorite. But the weather was nice and the boys were gone so I brewed myself some coffee and planted 500 tulips and got so excited!

This was nice to receive on the first day of snow. This year I ordered about 600 tulips last year i ordered about 30. A tiny order compared to most growers but I’m trying to keep the lid on and grow slowly, within my ability and means. With any luck, next year will be doubled as will the year after that.

Last week I broke my foot and last weekend my support crew rallied to help me in the garden. Scott wrestles a rototiller better than anyone I know (This thing is a serious beast.) @purple_spork has hauled my butt through life more than one time - about 10 years ago when I last busted this foot (doing the same thing) she hauled me behind a bike in a wagon through Tour De Fat (when it was the long route) My babe and my buds are the best and handle my picky flower pickin booty like champs.
Side note: thanks for all your support -coming to pick up flowers and your well wishes on recovery. I know I’m recovering better and faster because of it! 😘
